Why choose the bus people counter system?
Our GPRS Bus People Counter is an automatic bus passenger counting machine with high accuracy (95% -98%), which is developed based on binocular stereo vision technology and intelligent video analysis technology.
With a passenger counting system, transport managers gain accurate key performance measures like passengers per mile and number of passengers per day.
For every cycle time from door-open to door-close, the passenger number of get-on or get-off with time&date and gps positioning information will be stored into SD card.
And all the counting data(including passenger nubmer, time, date, gps positioing infomation) will be sent to the server or 3rd-party application server(need customization) through the 2G wireless network.
We will provide the protocol to integrated with your third-party system with RS232 and RS485 port.
A single sensor is able to function properly even if a wide door allows two passengers to get on/off at the same time.
Accuracy is based on average accuracy of an actual vehicle count (in our recommended environment).
*Note: Accuracy may vary depending on the installed environment and boarding/alighting conditions.
The camera's video output function allows viewing of the conditions near the middle door (back door), which is difficult to see, and also records the images in the video event data recorder.

1. Main Unit
Counter Processor(brain), Mounted at the bottom of seat or ceiling of bus, process and calculate the data, send to SD card storage or GPRS&3g
2. Binocular Camera
Mounted on the ceiling of the doors, counts passengers get in or out of the bus.
3. Door Sensor
Door open/close sensor, is used for sensing the door open or close status.
1. connect “CAM1” to “AV1” ; connect “CAM2” to “AV2” ;
2. connect “CAM3” to “AV3” ; connect “CAM4” to “AV4” ;
This is pure counter system in neutral package. The picture below shows the family of pure counter system.
Install counting camera on top of the door
Find the suitable point on top of the door
1 If the bus has 2 doors, then use 2 counting cameras.
If one door please only connect counting camera No.1.
2 Vertical principle. It requires to face the counting camera vertical toward the ground. Use the bracket to adjust until it is vertical. The minimum angle for each single adjustment is 2.5 degree for the easiest adjustment purpose.
3 There are 4 holes on the back of the counting camera for easy fix purse by screw. M2.5 X 5 screw is recommended. This design is for easy fixing by means of other tools such as normal camera bracket, customized boom etc.
4 Make sure the counting camera is fixed on the center of the top with range 220 centimeter (minimum) from top to pedal.
5 For good performance, the lens should be selected according to target vehicle. Firm and stable feature are high demanded for the camera installation.
Notice: If you buy our 3G counter(with mdvr together), you will use our platform ;if you buy our GPRS counter/counter ,also you can use our management platform tool ,also you can use your own platform with our protocol by RS232/485 interface.
